1. Information on personal data processing in the Warsaw Reciprocal Borrowing Programme (BiblioWawa, SWW)

  2. Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of:
    1. providing with access to library collections of universities and other institutions with research libraries, based on point (e) of Article 6(1) GDPR
    2. the legitimate interests of the joint controllers, such as pursuing claims, based on point (e) and (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR.
  3. The joint controllers will process the following data: name, surname, PESEL number, email.
  4. The provision of personal data is voluntary yet necessary for the achievement of the purpose for which they have been collected.
  5. Your personal data will be made available to the entities authorized by the law.
  6. The joint controllers do not plan to transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.
  7. Your personal data will not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.
  8. You have the right to access your personal data, the right to correct, request to delete, limit processing or object to processing of your data.
  9. Due to the fact that personal data processing is not based on consent, you have not the right to transfer your data.
  10. Your personal data will be processed for the period of using SWW and for the period required by the provisions of law or for securing possible claims.
  11. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – President of the Office for Personal Data Protection [Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych], in case you consider that the processing of your data violates data protection rules.

2. Information clause – contact form and other forms of data collection

  1. The administrator of your personal data is the University of Warsaw, represented by the Rector with the registered office at ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, 00-927 Warsaw.
  2. The administrator of personal data has appointed the Data Protection Inspector supervising the correctness of the processing of personal data, who can be contacted via the e-mail address: iod@adm.uw.edu.pl.
  3. The personal data provided in the form will be processed for the purpose of communication or provision of services via the BUW website, and in particular for the purpose of:
    • answering the question asked in the contact form;
    • sending information, as well as invitations to conferences and events;
    • organizing and conducting training courses, conferences.
  4. The data will not be made available to external entities, except for:
    • cases provided for by law;
    • entities to which the University of Warsaw has entrusted the processing of personal data based on concluded agreements.
  5. The basis for the processing of your personal data is the consent to their processing.
  6. Data will be processed for the duration of the communication or provision of services, no later than until an effective objection is filed.
  7. Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected.
  8. You have the right to access the content of your data and the right to rectify or delete it, to limit processing, file an objection, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
  9. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office [Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych] if you consider that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the general data protection regulation.
