| From Sunday 2nd June to Friday 14th June 2013 the Library will be open until 5 am. On Fridays (7th and 14th June) and on Saturday (8th June) the Library will be open until 9 pm. • After 9 pm will be available: Information Desk, Reading Room, Current Periodicals Reading Room as well as open stacks on levels 1, 2 and 3. • After 9 pm and on Sunday Circulation Desk and Storage will be closed. • After 9 pm Cloak room will be closed. You will be able to use deposite lockers from Monday to Thursday until 5 am. • Only for readers with valid library cards. We kindly remind you that during the nights no other drinks but bottled water and no food is allowed in the Library. Caffe Team bar, Coffee Heaven café and Rewers restaurant will be waiting for you until midnight at that time. | |

Chamo - trial access to online catalogue |

Chamo is a new tool through which you can access the UW libraries online catalogue. It has new functions, e.g. tags, reviews which you can use. On 30th May 2012 the University of Warsaw Senate with the Resolution no. 549 accepted the new Rules of the Library and Information System of the University of Warsaw. The Resolution comes into force from 1st October 2012. The main changes are: - minimum age for registration to the Library - 18 - the University of Warsaw students of all types of studies (bachelor, master, postgraduate) can borrow up to 8 volumes of books for 30 days - independent University of Warsaw teachers are entitled to borrow up to 20 volumes of books for 90 days - library materials requested to the main Reading Room and not used can be stored there for 3 days. For details check the Regulations. |

From 12th September 2012 one-day passes are issued only on Sundays - at the Information Desk (level 1) from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A one-day pass can be issued for one and the same person once in six months only. Visitors who wish to register to the Library may get a library card from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm at the Circulation Desk. |

The University of Warsaw Library is situated not far from the city center - in Powiśle district in the vicinity of the Old Town and Vistula river. It is only 10 minutes walking distance from the main Campus of the University in Krakowskie Przedmieście and the Royal Route.There is a convenient bus connection. Four buses (118, 150, 506, E-6) stop right next to the Library. It is very easy to get here from the airport or from other outlying suburbs (you must get to Krakowskie Przedmieście and walk the escarpment down). |
